CARING
Proper care for your work will ensure that you will be able to share it as a new heirloom well into the future.
All works employ the use of natural dyes. I consider natural dyes as living dyes that age and mature over time, allowing for nuanced colours and subtleties to further en-richen the work. However, these dyes can be affected and impeded by improper care.
The steps are simple to ensuring the longevity of the your piece :
Display/storage
Display or store the work out of direct sunlight, continuous UV exposure will cause the natural dyes to fade.
Washing
If in the event it is necessary to wash your piece, it is highly recommended to wash by hand, gently in cold water. Use a pH neutral soap (eg. baby shampoo) as some natural dyes are affected by pH levels. Dry in the shade. You can gently steam iron the work if you wish.
