The Silk Route dolls explore characters involved in the mythology surrounding the discovery of silk. This treasured natural fibre led to the formation of the Silk Road many years later. It was a network of trade routes which played a central role in facilitating economic, cultural, political, and religious interactions between the East and West.

These dolls have been created as a way for their custodians to connect and imbue meaning and a sense of wonder within a world that sometimes forgets that we were all children once.

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind with variations in pattern and colour, reflective of the handmade process. This is a zero waste product, all the materials have been up-cycled and hand dyed using natural dyes. The stuffing is 100% recycled PET plastic bottle polyfill.
